AMCON INC, originally established in Tokyo in 1974, are experts in the development and manufacture of sludge treatment systems and wastewater solutions. Since 1987, they have developed and manufactured innovative solutions for wastewater treatment plants, septic tanks and similar systems. Their philosophy is to develop innovative solutions and systems that solve customers' various problems and challenges.
In 1991, the company developed the innovative solution VOLUTE™ - a screw press with an innovative structure that has made a significant impact and brought a new perspective to the sludge treatment industry.
VOLUTE dewaters thin sludge without thickening with a self-cleaning system of moving fixed rings, ensuring continuous dewatering without clogging. VOLUTE™ technology has since been further developed with VOLUTE DUO™.

With a solution that encloses two screws in one cylinder, the risk of blockage is significantly reduced. You also achieve higher dewatering efficiency, even with difficult liquids or sludge with low solids content.
Previously, it was necessary to replace components frequently. But by driving the moving rings with an external drive machine, the lifetime of the components is significantly extended. With this, AMCON has created a durable design with a long lifetime.
The "double-cutting" movement of the movable rings has been adapted to resemble the original movement, which contributes to the high dewatering efficiency.
VOLUTE DUO' can maintain high performance and thus high dewatering efficiency over time. The design is characterised by the fact that the moving rings and screws do not come into contact
with each other, which otherwise, with conventional screw presses, would lead to both increased wear and reduced dewatering efficiency.
In-line dosing of flocculants in sludge has been adopted as standard. To streamline the mixing process, tank dimensions have been reduced to 50% with up to 25% reduction in flocculant consumption. Data is based on tests conducted by AMCON.
Polymer can also be added in 2 places: in the flocculator tank or via an inline mixer.
